Ernest Robinson - Transformative Justice Coalition-certified Voting Rights Champion

Ernest Robinson

Born in New Orleans, La, Ernest Robinson began his journey in leadership early in life. After graduating from high school (age 17) he subsequently began his career in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Robinson's participation includes Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom at the age of 20. After being honorably discharged from the military, Ernest continued his journey in leadership pursuing higher education by completing his bachelor’s degree from Virginia Union University™ with honors. During his terminal time as an undergraduate Ernest was considered a triple threat as an athlete, leader and scholar. Mr. Robinson served as the Inaugural President of the Model United Nations, Basileus for Zeta Chapter of The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc, 2nd Vice District Representative for the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc, Vice-President of the Pre-Law Society, Student Athletic Advisory Committee Member, Student Judicial Affairs Board Member and Student Representative for Quality Enhancement Team during accreditation period for The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Ernest received Athletic Honors in the CIAA and was named Who's Who in Colleges and Universities 2008-2009 and 2009-2010.

 Upon graduating from VUU, Ernest began working for The Department of Social Services. He transitioned to work for a political action committee from 2011-2013 which included community outreach and engagement across six states such as; Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida. Mr. Robinson's efforts lead to nearly 1,000,000 new voters across those states.

Ernest Robinson graduated from the Millennial Votes Matter Leadership Training (now called the Gen Z and Millennial Votes Matter Leadership Training), hosted by the Transformative Justice Coalition. His completion of this Training certifies her as a Voting Rights Champion.

Ernest has worked/volunteered with many organizations such as the Grassroots CampaignVote Vets, Children’s Defense Fund, USGLC, NO Labels, Presidential Inaugural Committee, The Congressional Black Caucus and others. When opportunities are available to participate in committee activities both local and national with Father Hood Initiatives, Youth Leadership Development, Voter Registration Education and Mobilization, he does.

Ernest's entrepreneurial journey launched in 2013. During a conference Ernest was faced with a question "Who Are You?" It was during that time Ernest took a deep look inside to really define that and developed Be E.R.N.E.S.T. Ernest’s gift for presenting and training became abundantly clear as he would speak for his alma mater and other colleges and universities across the country. At this time Ernest did not fully understand the business of speaking.

Since those humble beginnings, Ernest has trained, inspired and empowered thousands of people across the country through his workshops, presentations and training programs. His ability to model expected behavior and work has touched the lives of people from all walks of life, from executives, advisors, student leaders to your everyday citizen. “My journey has only just begun. There must be a sense of urgency to address the gaps that we can all intellectually debate. I am now in a position to empower others to do something about it." he notes.

For nearly 20 years, Ernest Robinson has been honing principles that is yielding success. He is a United States Marine Combat Veteran who knows a thing or two about self-reliance and teamwork. As a speaker and entrepreneur Ernest has been certified through a rigorous training by renowned speaker, creator and facilitator Kendall Ficklin through B.O.S.C. (The Business of Speaking and Coaching Training Program) where Kendall serves as a sales coach, leadership instructor and motivational speaker.

Professionally Ernest has worked in the United States Marine Corps, Department of Social Services, The Department of Justice - Office of the Federal Detention Trustee and The Department of Labor. He has worked in for-profit business cultivating relationships and generating sales with remarkable success. His passion for advocating for the community led him to support the mission of the historical nonprofit YMCA. He subsequently has served with a large cadre as a National Professional Skills Trainers for the Young Men’s Christian Association. Currently Ernest is a Legislative Associate (Government Relations) for the largest Veteran Service Organization in the world.

Ernest Robinson is a self-taught, professionally groomed ultimate communicator whose knack for professionalism and leadership has earned him the honor of serving many clients such as The Kings and Queens Conference, The American Student Government Association, The Harbor Institute, Virginia Union University, Montclair State University, The YMCA and The Leader Training Institute.
